Riding the snowmachne, Im finding hundreds of trees down across our trail system. Its going to take quite an effort to get the whole system opened up. If you do head out, you better take a chainsaw with you,..cause you wont go far without a bit of trail work.

As w/ Serbie, just wondering about the trail down off Goodreault Hill to Ladd Rd. Is the little trail down over the old "Ski-tow" (off Woodward Rd. down to High St.) an official trail? Nice old trail....and it eliminates the need of "sneakin" 200' down the side of Rte.2 to Barnies Market comin' in from the West.

I've got my brother-in-law, his brother and their father coming up from CT over Memorial weekend for one of their summer seasonal riding excursions. As I live on Ladd Rd., was wondering if the trail from the end of Ladd Rd. up to the old Streeter place was closed for some reason. I know it is closed from the end of Ladd Rd. to the road on the back side of Miles Pd.,the sign is in the log landing...and I'd heard that one was...just wondering about the other one.Trying to plan my route; I'm not a big fan of "backtracking" or of doing alot of road riding. We usually do a 55-65 mile ride one of those days on Memorial weekend, then a couple of short 20 milers or so on the other days.Any help/input is appreciated.

What a fantastic Memorial Day weekend! Went 54 miles on Sat. w/ a crew of eight.(5 Hondas, one ea. Suzuki,Cat,Yamaha). Rode another 47 miles Sun. w/ a crew of 5 (including our Pres.!) 3 Polaris',one Cat,one Honda.Finished up w/ a 22 miler yesterday. (2 Hondas). What little road ridin' that was done.....very dusty.Trails are great (my definition, LOL!). We had a nice mix of everything from town rd. to some good ol' fashioned rock crawlin' and boggin' (my favorites! LOL). Hope as many of you as possible got out and had a chance to ride.

Just wanted to offer sincere thanks to the landowners who granted permission for the new trail from Goodreault Hill down to my neck of the woods here on Ladd Road.If anyone runs into Elizabeth Wofford, Sid Patridge, Larry Brown,or Dale Noyes....please thank 'em in person...(kinda should go for all our trails!)The trail signage was installed over the weekend and it is a very nice trail.Nice view of Miles Pond at one point coming down the hill. On a different note...Tracy Marko and I combined a little moose scouting w/ trail work Sat. AM. The trail off the log landing on Ladd Road up to the Streeter place.(the one w/ the dangerous washed out hillclimb) now has a bypass around the hill.I am waiting on signage from Lincoln and will put it up when I recieve it.The rest of the trail is rough, (as usual...but some of us "old schoolers" like that!!LOL) but not dangerous. Use common sense and be safe. Happy 'wheelin' everyone!!
